Approving a Form

If you have a workflow / approval process configured, you may be included in the approval process.
As an approver you will receive an 'Approvals Management Notification' which will look similar to below.


To review the form, click on the link which will either take you directly to the form or ask you to log on.
Scroll to the bottom for the 'Approvals Management' section, in particularly the 'Approval Signoff'.

The following fields need to be completed in order to complete your approval step:-

Full name of person reviewing application

Enter your name


Approval options
By clicking on 'Approve':-

  • The form will move on to the next step configured.
  • If configured, the Originator will automatically receive an email to advise them that the form has been approved.
  • An 'Approvals Management Notification' email will be sent and it will appear in that approver's ‘To Do’ widget with a status of 'Active'.
  • If this step is the final approval step then the form will be automatically finalised.

By clicking on 'Reject and return to previous approver':-

  • The form is rejected and moves back one step (if configured).
  • An 'Approvals Management Notification' email will be sent and it will appear in that approver's ‘To Do’ widget with a status of 'Active'.

By clicking on 'Reject and return to Originator for changes':-

  • The form is rejected and returns back to the Originator.
  • An email will be sent to the Originator and it will also appear in the Originator's ‘To Do’ widget with a status of 'Draft'.
  • At this point the Originator would have to log on and re-submit the form by changing the status from 'Draft' to 'Active' for the approval process to begin again.

By clicking on 'Reject and cancel':-

  • The form is rejected.
  • The Originator is notified that the submission has been rejected and the form is finalised.
