Managing Employee Lists

People Central allows you to record not only employees but also volunteers or contractors that are part of your organisation. 

Please click on each of the tabs below to learn how to manage Employee/s in People Central.

Adding Employee/s Amending Employee/s  Deleting Employee/s

Click on People Central in the left hand navigation and click on the 'New Person' button.


Complete the following fields:

Personal Details

  • First Name: Enter the employee first name - this is a mandatory field
  • Middle Name: Enter the employee middle name (if applicable)
  • Last Name: Enter the employee last name - this is a mandatory field
  • Email: Any notification emails regarding expiring competencies or request to complete online activities will go to this address - this is a mandatory field
  • Alternate Email: This is for record purposes and no notifications will be sent to this address
  • Mobile Phone / Phone / Home Address: Optional
  • Date of Birth: Optional
  • Photo: Optional

Organisational Details

  • Type: Record if Staff, Volunteer or Other e.g. Contractor
  • Commencement Date: Enter the date person started (if applicable)
  • Reports To: Optional field - for further information contact support@ermonline.com.au 
  • Employee ID: Optional field
  • Department: Optional Field
  • Reg/Cert No: Optional Field

Link User to an ERM Profile

  • User: If this user has an ERM account, you can link them to this by choosing the relevant username from the list.  If they are not a user in ERM, select 'None'.

Status of Person

  • Status: By default the user will be saved as 'Active', however if they are no longer with your organisation, you will change this to 'Deleted'.
  • Ceased Employment Date: This is completed when you 'Delete' a person.
  • Additional Information: Upload any additional information (if applicable).

Once you have completed all the required fields, click on the 'Submit' button to save the information.
